The product story

Dumb Bell is a clock. It has two bells, one hammer and a spring you wind with your hand. It cannot connect to anything, and it has nothing to tell you.

We spent four years removing features. The first prototype had a screen. Then a light. Then a very small speaker that could say the date. All of them have been thrown into a canal.

What is left will wake you at the time you told it to, and it will do so loudly and without any opinion on how you slept.

Thirty seconds, one take

A locked-off shot of a bedside table in the dark. The phone lights up, over and over, and each buzz walks it slowly towards the edge. Voiceover is delivered as flat as possible.
