Loud Words
A title sequence where words behave like their meanings. Heavy lands hard. Shy hides. Loud gets out of hand.

The brief
Make animated typography that could open a film.
The idea
Nine words, nine colour fields, about thirty seconds. The rule is that each word may do only what it means, so the motion is the joke and also the typography.
Decisions
- A hard cut and a new colour every 3.2 seconds gives it the rhythm of a title sequence.
- Each frame is a pure function of time, so the sequence can also be rendered to video.
- The final word whispers, because the sequence earned it.
How it came together
- Listed words that have a built-in behaviour.
- Wrote one draw function per word.
- Tuned timing against a fixed clock.
How it works
A single seek(t) function draws any moment of the sequence, so playback and rendering are the same code.
